Make a production pick list for your made-to-order Etsy shop
Short answer: load your Order Items CSV into a tool or a pivot table that sums Quantity by Item Name and Variations.
If you make items to order, the question each morning is "how many of each thing do I need to make?" Etsy's order pages show one order at a time, so many sellers end up tallying by hand. A pick list (or production list) answers it in one table: item + variation → total quantity.
Option 1: the free tool (about a minute)
- Download your Order Items CSV (optionally the Orders CSV too).
- Open the Etsy Pick List tool and load the file(s). Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
- Set the date range and tick "Unshipped only" if you loaded the Orders CSV.
- Print it or download it as CSV.
Option 2: a spreadsheet pivot table
- Open the Order Items CSV in Google Sheets or Excel.
- Filter Sale Date to your range.
- Insert a pivot table: Rows = Item Name, then Variations. Values = SUM of Quantity.
Watch out for variation order: "Size:L,Color:Red" and "Color:Red,Size:L" will show up as separate rows unless you clean them first. The tool handles this for you.
Tips
- Use SKUs on listings so the list matches your bins or materials.
- Personalization text (like names to engrave) isn't summed in the tool. Check those orders individually.
- If the newest orders are missing, see why your CSV may be missing recent orders.
