Etsy CSV missing recent orders: causes and workarounds
Short answer: usually the wrong month is selected or the export is still catching up. In 2025 sellers also reported a deliberate delay.
You download your sales CSV and the newest orders aren't in it. Here are the usual causes, from most to least likely.
1. Wrong month or year selected
Exports are chosen by month and year. An order placed on the 1st won't be in last month's file. Re-download the current month.
2. Export not finished generating
Large exports can take a while to arrive, and sellers report that recent orders sometimes appear only after some delay. Try again later.
3. A deliberate delay on Etsy's side
In July 2025 sellers reported that Etsy's Orders CSV page said recent data would have a two-week delay (seller discussion on r/EtsySellers). Later in the same thread, a seller said the notice seemed to be gone and recent orders were appearing again. We can't confirm Etsy's current policy, so check the Download Data page or Etsy Help for any notice.
Workarounds
- For today's orders, use Etsy's Orders & Shipping page, or print packing slips.
- Higher-volume sellers often use third-party order management or shipping software that syncs orders through Etsy's API.
- Combine methods: CSV for the bulk of the week, and add the newest few orders by hand.
How to check whether an order is missing
Compare the newest Sale Date in your file with your most recent order on the Orders & Shipping page. If the gap is consistent (always the same number of days), it is probably a delay on Etsy's side rather than your selection.
